The K-Kids were once again pleased to lead the Coins 4 Critters fundraiser at Cross Creek to benefit Thomasville Humane. This year, our school was able to donate $3,500 to this altruistic organization. Chandler Giddes, Executive Director of Thomasville Humane, said, “We are blown away by this generous donation.”

All classes contributed to the total amount raised and two classes won a party for raising the most in their grade level. Ms. Rice’s third-grade class raised $333.18. Mrs. Robertson’s fourth-grade class raised $292.65. Both classes were treated to a party of Chick-Fil-A nuggets, fruit, cookies, and drinks. In addition, they were also visited by four furry friends from the local humane society.

Mrs. Margaret O'Connell aka "Office Mom'' was recognized for her volunteer work at Cross Creek during the Hands On Thomas County's Cheers for Volunteers. Thank you Mrs. O'Connell for your willingness to step in when we need an extra hand.

Cross Creek students visited the Thomas County Schools' mobile planetarium. Students have learned about stars, constellations, galaxies, and the upcoming solar eclipse. They were excited to have an opportunity to explore space from the safety of planetarium. Thank you Thomas County Schools for the wonderful learning experience.
